manufacturers using the Quad ESL 63
Several manufacturers used the Quad ESL 63 to build their own 'super' system.

(provided by Christian Steingruber)"Mr. Alastair Robertson-Aikman, chairman of the well known tonearm manufacturer SME , has never been 100% happy with the original Quad speakers . In consequence he searched for even better solutions :
- First super-Quad system : Four Quad ESL-57 speakers in stacked pairs ( like the Mark Levinson HQD system ) , later on with additional Decca ribbon units
- Second system : ESL-57 panels stacked as huge tower, similar like the first system, but with additional 4 treble units . The system had in total 8 bass units and 8 treble units.
- Third system : the same as above but even higher with additional 4 bass units and 4 treble units on the top.
Fourth system : Four Quad ESL- 63 , angled in 90 degrees , as stacking did not work with the point-source ' 63 . The mechanical structure of the speaker was also strengthened and the grille removed "
