Introduction

One Thing Audio provides replacement panels for the original ESL 57 and ESL 63, as well as a significant number of other replacement parts. We also carry out complete refurbishment of these speakers. Our current range also includes the MPX1 & MPX2 stereo decoder for Leak Trough Lines etc. Despite the "specialisation" we trust there will be much on our site of a general nature to engage your interest!

Enjoy your visit to our site.

INTRODUCING THE WIDGET

ESL 57 PANEL REBUILDS – COMPLETE SETS

We receive an ever growing number of complete (set of 6) ESL 57 panels from all over the globe (even some from the UK!) for total rebuild. Usually, the panels are sent to us complete with their dust covers, terminal connectors etc. The weight of the dust covers constitutes around 20% of the total weight – not inconsiderable when the owner has to meet the carriage charges to and from the States, Scandinavia, Hong Kong, China, Australia etc. Additionally, the terminal boards on the bass panels tend to get broken in transit or (as recently) penetrates the surface of the adjacent panel. Then, upon the return of the rebuilt panels, we are obliged to use elaborate and expensive spacer-plates to avoid further damage to the new dust covers. This adds considerably to the weight as well as the physical size of the carton, reflecting in an almost doubling of the transit costs.

In future, whenever a complete set of panels are sent in, we would respectfully ask, owners to send them WITHOUT DUST COVERS. When we return the rebuilt panels , the package will include, FREE OF CHARGE, a complete dust cover kit for all 6 panels with easy-to-follow fitting instructions. As there will be, obviously, more work to do by the owner prior to fitting the rebuilt panels, a 15% discount will be offered on a set of 6 panels. Simply take the rebuild price quoted on our price list and take off 15%.

It should be emphasised that above applies only to complete sets of ESL 57 panel rebuilds. Individual panels may be sent in with the dust covers fitted, if preferred, or if the transit costs are not going to add appreciably to the overall cost.
