The DAVID electrostatic volt meter is a 'must' for anyone serious in the repair or development of electrostatic loudspeakers. The DAVID electrostatic Volt meter has been in constant use in One Thing's workshop for several months now. It is a delight to use and we can vouch for its accuracy (quoted within 1%) and reliability.
The meter operates from a 9 volt standard PP3: current consumption is negligible and an inbuilt timer device will shut down the meter after aproximately 30 seconds. Electrostatic volt meters (as opposed to the cruder and highly inacurate probe shunts) are expensive instruments and have not been available in the UK for many decades. This item is also excellently priced (do check on the asking price for such devices in the 'States!) Meter supplied complete with probes and is available directly from the manufacturer.
