Dear Ron and Steve - you two are amazing - no roundabouts and lots of swings at this end. You're right, Ron, compared to my previous ESLs - the top is more delicate/refined, and the bass less seismic - the sound generally much better controlled. And no clicks, fizzles or rattles that I can hear.........Initial impressions were that the sound was a bit too lean/lightweight. THEN I plugged in your new audio leads, and the mids and bass suddenly acquired exactly the right amount of fullness. Magic!.......

Next project: rip up the carpet and floorboards, install that insulation you recommended (can't remember the name, but Penny wrote it down), notch the joists and run the One Thing speaker cable under the boards. Project after that: get a decent amp! I'm getting there...........

I may come back to you for some more One Thing mains leads - I feel sure that they will also improve things when supplying mains to the CD player, amps etc. In the meantime, many, many thanks for your insight/understanding and dedication. And best wishes - long may you thrive!

Jonathan Swain.
